Yesterday I did 100 pusups - 4x25. Wow! That's great progress - I started a little more than a month ago doing just 6 reps. In this short time I got nice visible results. My chest muscles and triceps are bigger and more defined. What's even more important my left shoulder feels fine - no pain. Taking a rest between workouts and not doing it everyday is what works for me.

4 sets (90)
4 sets yesterday. 25,20 and 25,20 in the evening. No problem. Tomorrow I'll try 100 (4x25). And 2-3 days after that I'll do one set max. My goal is at least 40. Let's see if all will go as planned.

1 set - 35
One set max today. Didn't go to the failure - stopped at 35. So next time shouldn't have a problem doing 40.

4 sets (70)
4 sets yesterday. 20, 15 during the day and 20, 15 in the evening. I felt a little pain in my shoulder. I think it's not from pushups but from other things I'm doing. This shoulder injuries are real pain in the ass.

The Plan
I will continue to do 4 sets and will be slowly increasing number of reps to 4x20 and then 4x25 for a total of 100 pushups a day. Every now and then I'll do 1 set max. to see how much I can do in one set. First goal is 50 which will bring me half way to the final goal of 100 pushups in one set.

4 sets (50)
Today I did 4 sets. 20, 10 in the morning and 10, 10 in the evening. Total 50 pushups. Wow, you can increase volume fast with multiple sets. Taking a rest for a day or two between workouts works really well for me.

One set
Today I did just one set of 30. Wanted to see how much I can do in one set before my left shoulder start to hurt. Everything was fine, no pain. Stopped at 30 just in case. Will progress slowly.
