30, 25 regular and 20 hindu pushups during the day. 30 regular and 25 feet elevated in the evening. Forearm is fine now, no more pain. There's just a little red spot left which is slowly disappearing. That's it for August. I will add another set now and latter maybe even more. Will see how it will go.

4 sets (60)
4x15 regular pushups today. That's almost too easy. No need for a rest day in between workouts before I get to more than 100. Right wrist still hurts.

4 sets (40)
After 6 days rest I'm starting another cycle. Just 4 sets of 10 regular pushups for a start. Doing them slowly with strict form. My right wrist hurts a little because I've been bitten by some poisonous bug/insect/spider ... don't know what it was. Almost whole inner forearm is red and swollen. Should be better in few day so I can increase pushups volume.

150 push ups
6 sets of various pushups yesterday. 30, 20, 20 and 30, 25, 25. Felt a little pain in my right shoulder again so will now take longer rest and then start another cycle with lower volume and increase numbers slowly. There's no hurry. Never thought I'll be doing 100 pushups or more. I'm very happy with the progress so far.
Before the new cycle I'll try one set max to see if I can do more than 40.

6 sets (135)
6 sets - added another set. That will help me increase daily volume. 30 regular, 2x20 hindu pushups. In the evening 30 regular, 20&15 feet elevated. Total 135 push ups. Felt a little pain in my right shoulder and left triceps. Will take longer rest if I'll still feel the pain in 2 days(next workout).

Hindu pushups
Hindu pushups are great. They work whole upper body and also give you good cardio workout. Here's short description how to do them by Mike Mahler:
Hindu push ups
This is a kickass exercise and one of my favorites. In addition to being a great upper body exercise, it's great for increasing flexibility in the spine and is a fantastic pick-me-up whenever you feel lethargic. Get on all fours and press your butt in the air. Bend your back as if you were trying to make a triangle. Your head should be aligned with your back facing towards your feet. Take a deep breath and then sweep down in a circular arc motion and bend back looking up at the ceiling and breathing out. From there, push back toward your heels and start over.

5 sets (115)
5 sets yesterday. 30 regular, 2 sets of hindu (18, 12). In the evening: 30 regular and 25 feet elevated - total 115 pushups. I did the same number of feet elevated than last time (25) but it felt much harder this time. Interesting. Every day is a little different.

July 05 - 717 push ups
According to this blog I did 717 pushups in July. That seems a lot to me. But the way I'm progressing I'll more than double that in August. As mentioned before I see some results on my chest muscles and triceps but not much ofcourse - it's been only a month. I'm looking forward to see the results at the end of this month.
To balance muscles in the upper body I'm also doing back exercises. I don't have a pull-up bar so I'm doing body rows which are exactly the opposite of pushups - they work back muscles and biceps.

5 sets (110)
On Saturday I did 30 regular and then 2 sets of hindu pushups( 15,10). I could probably do 25 hindu in one set but I felt some tension in left shoulder so will progress slowly to 25-30. In the evening: 30 regular and 25 feet elevated pushups. The last set was surprisingly easy. I expected feet elevated pushups to be much harder (I'm using 18'' chair - aprox. 46cm). Few minutes after last set I felt nice pump in my upper chest.

1 set - 40
40 pusups in one set today. Last 2 were difficult. It will probably take a while before I can do 50. But I'm happy with my progress. 40 is my personal record. I did 40 just twice before in my life but that was years ago. This time I'm progressing slowly and there's no pain in my shoulder and that's the most important thing. Next time I'll set my new PR even if it's just 41. :) Can't wait.
